 Jammu-Kashmir Police Department is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Constable in two Border Battalions in the Jammu/Kashmir region. The commencement of online applications under the Jammu Kashmir Constable Vacancy has started on 04 March 2022. The last date for submitting an online application form for JK Police Constable Jobs is 02 April 2022.

Earlier, Jammu & Kashmir Police Department has published the recruitment notification for the post of Constable in the month of March 2019 of which 1350 vacancies were announced in two Border Battalion (one each in Jammu Province and Kashmir Province) and the remaining 1350 are in two Women Battalions (one Battalion each in Jammu/Kashmir Region).

It is to be noted that, the candidates who had earlier qualified for PET/PST need to apply again as they are eligible for the written exam. Similarly, the candidates who were disqualified in PET/PST cannot apply again for this re-advertisement.

Educational Qualifications

  • The candidates should have passed Matriculation from a recognized education board before the last date of application submission.

Age Limit

  • As of 01 January 2022, an applicant’s age must not be below 18 years and above 28 years. The candidates born before 01/01/1994 and after 31/12/2003 are not eligible for JK Police Constable Recruitment 2022. Upper age relaxation is applicable to certain categories.

General Awareness & G.K.

History, Geography and Socio-Economic development of Jammu & Kashmir and India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

Elementary Maths

The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

Analytical Aptitude & Ability

Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)                                                                                                                     The candidates who will be shortlisted for the Physical efficiency test will be performing certain tasks assigned to them. The tasks for the male and female candidates carried under the efficiency test shall be as given below:
